I don't understand how any person under the age of 50 today could be a monarchist.

Everything you do in your life is based on inequality. Whether its age requirements, your boss and the people above you were you work, the amount of money you make which allows you to do stuff and eat different types of food and your status in every other country around the world. Hierarchy allows the world to function. justice is preferable to equality.
